This project was one I thoroughly enjoyed, I love working with physical materials and cutting and building. I spent a most of this project sitting on my floor with a hot glue gun in hand.
The driving concept behind this project was public facilities, public facing works, social structures and social media. I wanted to place an emphasis on objects that are often neglected, so common they become invisible. I started by taking a walk through my neighborhood and a local park. I tried paying especially close attention to the objects that seemingly belong to no one, yet to everyone. The objects that are often seen as gross, the ones that immediately make you reach for hand sanitizer. I framed these objects the opposite way, in a cute and intimate manner. What would it look like if these objects played an intimate role in one's life? What would it look like if one was best friends with this object? How would they be shared online?
