Design Strategist based in Southern California, greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area.
Sarah Kraft's work lies somewhere between design, technology and art. Active storytelling lies at the heart of her work, narratives woven with every supporting design asset and measured diagram. Sarah's work tends to take on a slightly speculative approach, with possibilities that seem plausible but just out of reach. Highly inspired by natural ecology, organic forms, human anatomy / physiology and physical artifacts, Sarah's work takes on an empathetic approach towards the non-human and other beings, and embodies a very poetic and deeply meaningful nature.
Having graduated from the University of Utah studying Multi-Disciplinary Design, emphasizing specifically in physical product, Sarah has an affinity for tangibility with a digital / engineering perspective: 3D modeling and rendering, Arduino prototyping / coding, After Effects motion graphics and TouchDesigner audio-reactive visuals. Sarah likes to meld digital experiences with the physical.
Sarah considers herself to be a multi-disciplinary designer because she refuses to be confined into one small field or section of the industry. Design is much bigger than a label she gives herself. Design can be anything, a process, a behavior, a tool, an outlook.
Design fell into her lap by accident, it's not something she knew she wanted to pursue since first becoming conscious. Sarah found and consequently fell in love with design because design made everything feel possible, understandable, the active problem solving and the ambiguity found within it. There's no right answer, a design can always be improved upon, a problem to one person could solution to another. The possibilities are endless. Sarah enjoys having to think outside the box and consider problems from a new perspective.
